DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  Position has some supervisory responsibilities and reports directly to the Golf Course Manager.  Manages the daily operations of the driving range, Course Starter, Course Marshal and Cart Rental Activities.  Plans, assigns and assesses work for approximately 1 Regular position, 1-5 flexible positions, and 1 or 2 volunteer positions adjusting schedules as necessary.  Evaluates work progress, tracks results and takes appropriate corrective action as necessary.  Conducts or ensures golf lessons are conducted and marketed efficiently; with special emphasis on encouraging and promoting youth, family, and “new user” golf.  Promotes, organizes and conducts tournaments, matches, special events at Eaglewood.  Works closely with the 1st Services Marketing Team to ensure all Eaglewood Golfing promotions are well publicized.  Performs other related duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCEMust be a graduate of an accredited 2 year college level golf academy or 4 year college golf program majoring in either Golf complex Operations and Management or the Golf Professional arena.  Incumbent must be experience, knowledgeable and understand golf course operations, including the rules of golf, tournament organization and handicapping.  Must be able to instruct all ages (women, men, & juniors) in all aspects of golf.  A minimum of 2 years golf teaching experience is desirable but not required.  A class A PGA Pro preferred but not required.  Incumbent must possess sufficient education to read and interpret manuals, directives, regulations, and instructions.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively, appropriately, and courteously, both in writing and orally.  Must have knowledge in dealing effectively with vendors, golf course patrons and high-level officials.  Must have knowledge of computerized equipment and software programs associated with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Calendar Creator, and the functions of the internet to include use of the world-wide web.  Must satisfactory complete physical, security checks and food handler’s certification.

Duties:   Plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the entire food and beverage operation.  Duties encompass the hiring, training, and motivation of employees for quality food and beverage service to the club manager and their guests.  Interfaces with the Club Manager and Membership Activities Manager in the planning of programs, menus and internal controls necessary for a viable and successful operation.  Responsible on a day-to-day basis for food and beverage controls and managing operational costs.  Responsible for the proper relationship of cost of goods to labor, food waste and spoilage.  Develops and maintains stock control cards, stock levels and daily inventories.  Prepares marketing lists, determines food and beverage requirements and related supplies.  Develops and maintains standardized recipes on batch item cost control cards with recommended selling prices.  Inspects deliveries for quality and quantity.  Responsible for accountability of food and beverage equipment and supplies and maintenance of sanitation and health inspection standards.  Plans, reviews, approve and price each menu.  Determines prices for party menus for banquets and special functions.  Reviews the party contract daily to determine food and beverage requirements and assures that arrangements are provided as contracted.  Plans on a daily basis for the utilization of food surplus or leftovers.  On a continuous basis, checks methods of preparation, size of portions and appearance.  Conducts food and beverage inventories as required.  Responsible for the training and direct supervision of subordinates and weekly scheduling assignment of their duties.  Evaluates performance and initiates required personnel actions.  Annually develops an income expense and capital expenditure budget for the food and beverage operation.
Qualification Requirements: Responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices.  Must have at least 4 years military club or hotel experience encompassing management of food and beverage operations.  Must have a working knowledge of Point of Sales Systems.

POSITION:  Animal Health Technician, NF-0704-II, $10.00 per hour
Duties:  Assists veterinary personnel in providing outpatient care, management, and treatment for small animals in a veterinary treatment facility.  Obtains medical history from owners or other responsible individuals.  Measures and records the animals’ weight, temperature, pulse and respiratory rate.  Performs general physical examination of animals to detect obvious abnormalities and records and reports results to the veterinarian.  Collects, preserves, and prepares blood, urine, feces, skin scrapings, postmortem tissue specimens, etc., for shipment and/or laboratory examination.  Performs routine diagnostic laboratory tests (e.g.  fecal smears and flotation, urinalysis, blood counts, etc.) and records results.  Administers oral, topical, and parenteral medications, treatments, and immunizations as directed by the veterinarian.  Provides the owner/handler with prescribed medications and treatment instructions.  Provides emergency treatment as required.  Positions and restrains animals for examination and treatment.  Annotates appropriate information in animal records and maintains them as required. Performs a variety of administrative and clerical functions.  Utilizes office automation program for the daily operation of the clinic.  Answers the telephone and schedules appointments in the appropriate time slots for vaccinations and sick calls.  Greets and receives clients.  Responds to customer inquiries and concerns, providing general information.  Directs animal health questions to the veterinarian when indicated.  Assists with inventory control and ordering as directed.
Qualification Requirements:   Licensed as a veterinary technician in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Possesses minimal office and computer skills.  Must be able to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.  Ability to work generally independently when required.  Subject to satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check.
Physical Requirements:  
Work requires climbing, stooping, bending, and stretching.  When working from stands may work in tiring and awkward positions.  Frequently lifts up to 20 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Duties:  Operates limited service bars.  Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish.  Serves beer, soda and wine.  Serves patrons directly or delivers to waiter.  Receives payment, operates cash register, and makes and returns change to patrons or waiter.  Sets up bar for operation and obtains cash bank.  Maintains work area neat and clean.  Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils.  Stocks service bars and assists higher-level bartender as required.  May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
Qualification Requirements:  Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages.  Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed.  Must be able to follow cash handling procedures.  Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.  Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.  Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.  Must be able to communicate clearly with customers, and possess skill in dealing with the public.

POSITION:  Cashier , NF-0530-I , Flexible, $6.75 ph

Duties:  Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties.  Ensures that proper identification is presented before disbursement is made.  Collects cash receipts, cash register tapes, checks credit card receipts, club tokens, coupons, and other supporting documentation.  Prepares and issues change from funds as required.  Prepares bank deposits and ensures daily deposit in a timely manner.  Ensures that all monies are accounted for by balancing with the posting of funds placed in the activity's safe before actual bank deposit.  Prepares cashiers reports and accepts payment for the dues and changes to accounts.  Ensures the proper accounting for charge cards, sales slips, and guest checks, and ensures they are included within the daily cashier's report.  Accepts new member applications and prepares club cards.
Qualification Requirements:  GENERAL:  Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any king in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.  This should include demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetical problems and problems making change when receiving payments from customers.  SPECIALIZED:  Applicant must have, in addition to the experience described above, experience in clerical duties in the receipt, disbursement examination, deposit, custody, or the processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.

POSITION:  Cashier-Checker , NF-2091-I, Flexible, $6.50 ph
Duties:   Sells a variety of merchandise items.  Operates cash register, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change, processes credit card sale, or charges to member’s account.  At the end of each tour of duty, clears the cash register and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed.  Conducts daily inventories.  Maintains area in clean and orderly condition.  In a Food Activity:  Performs checkout duties such as ringing up food, beverages and merchandise by individual item; totaling sales; processing credit card sales; receiving money; and making change.  May perform related food service duties such as assisting in setting up the serving line, replenishing beverages dispensers, ensuring kitchen staff is advised when buffet line needs replenishment.  In a Restaurant:  Receives patrons’ meal checks, rings up sales on cash register, receives money, and makes change.

Duties:   
Assists in planning and conducting an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of each child based upon stated goals and a curriculum plan provided by the supervisor.
Qualification Requirements:  ALL POSITIONS MUST MEET THESE BASIC REQUIREMETNS: 
Must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have the ability to speak, read and write English.  Must pass a physical examination, and get or have required immunizations.  Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate, and satisfactorily complete installation, state, and national criminal background checks.  Must satisfactorily complete mandatory training.  Requires long periods of time continually bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 pounds in indoor and outdoor settings.  Must possess maturity and good judgment and like working with small children and their parents.

POSITION:  Cook, NA-7404-04, Flexible, $8.77 per hour
DUTIES:  Performs full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and fresh or canned vegetables.  Prepares hot cereals, broiled meats; prepares and cooks concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies; makes cold sandwich fillings.  Prepares convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets and chicken nuggets.  Some cooks at this level prepare and bake pizza.  Prepares food by peeling, chopping, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading; weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular menu items; sets up and replenishes salad bar; portions foods for distribution and meal service, and covers, dates, and stores leftovers according to established procedures.  Washes and cleans kitchen equipment.

Duties:  Performs simple manual tasks related to serving and preparing food such as setting up glasses, silverware, condiments, salads, desserts, cold beverages, etc., as instructed.  Removes soiled dishes from tables and carries to dishwasher, pre-rinses dishes, loads into dishwasher, and stacks and stores dishes.  Cuts, scrapes, chops, dices, or peels fruits and vegetables; operates electric potato peeler and other simple machines.  Cleans cooking and serving equipment, woodwork, windows, and display counters.  Scrubs and scours work tables.  Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors.  Carries supplies between storeroom, kitchen, and dining areas and runs errands.
Qualification Requirements:  No prior training or work experience is required.  Applicant must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines.

POSITION:  Laborer, NA-3502-02 Flexible, $7.70 ph

Duties:  Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from trucks, dollies, etc., moves heavy boxes, cartons, or luggage by hand, hand-truck, or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbars, and cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and cartons where directed.  Using a shovel, digs ditches and trenches where a pick is not needed to loosen the dirt, and where grading and sloping is not required; fills holes with dirt and levels bumps and low places, using shove, hand tamper, and rake.  Runs heavy or domestic type lawnmowers; when this does not require heavy physical effort (for example on steep grades); clears small trees and bushes, using handsaw, hatchet, or clipper; cleans and oils mowers.  Moves and arranges furniture as directed; shovels snow from sidewalks; shovels coal, ashes, etc; washes and waxes cars and trucks by hand or using power buffer.  Performs all tasks required in preparing and maintaining indoor/outdoor recreation facilities to include:  preparation of playing areas, raking, watering, dragging, marking and lining athletic fields.  Helps in the sorting/storing of athletic uniforms and equipment as needed.
Qualification Requirements:  Individual requires a certain degree of manual skill in using necessary hand-tools and in operating simple/heavy power equipment.  Individual must possess a current drivers' license due to athletic fields and facilities being located in different locations.  Must be able to follow orders and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:  Moderately heavy physical effort is required in lifting and carrying objects weighing up to about 50 pounds, and in pushing heavy furniture, loaded carts, etc.

Duties:  Receives and confirms room reservations by letter, telephone, or personal contact.  Registers and assigns rooms to guests, issues room keys, and may escort guests to rooms.  Ensures that only authorized patrons use government-sponsored quarters.  Calculates and posts charges to patrons’ accounts and balances totals with control records.  Accepts payment, makes change, and presents departing guests checkout statements.  Prepares and safeguards cash receipts, prepares daily cashier’s report, daily activity report, and may prepare consolidated daily activity report.  Maintains daily quarters occupancy and current checkout list.  Maintains and sells convenience items to patrons.  Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION:  Recreation Aid,  NF-0189-I, Flexible, $6.72 ph
Duties:   Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreation facilities.  Types of duties include but are not limited to the following:  Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payments for trips and tours; notifies participants of schedule changes; arranges for equipment or tools, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return; decorates community or neighborhood centers or recreation centers for special events, activities or parties; strings tennis or volleyball nets; lines base lines and base paths; sets up batting cages; checks the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, tools, and equipment; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled; takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks.
Qualification Requirements:   Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures.  Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required.

Duties:  
Under the direction of the School Age Program Coordinator and/or site coordinator, plans, coordinates and conducts educational and recreational activities for a group of youth enrolled in the Air Force School Age Program. 
Qualification Requirements:  ALL POSITIONS MUST MEET THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS:  Must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have the ability to speak, read and write English.  Must meet specific physical requirements, pass a physical examination, and get or have required immunizations.  Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certification, and satisfactorily complete installation, state and national criminal background checks.  Must satisfactorily complete training as specified and demonstrate competency within required time frame.

Duties:  Operates an F-10 tractor with seven mowers attached and farm tractor with all agricultural attachments, i.e., 5, 8, and 15 foot mowers, rakes, blades, etc.  Makes adjustment to blade when operating F-10 tractor, operates mowers through hydraulic controls, requiring ability to manipulate tractor and the equipment at the same time.  Is responsible to avoid damage to shrubs, trees, etc. and to follow safety rules and practices.  Does a variety of seasonal gardening tasks such as fertilizing, preparing beds, transplanting, laying sod, aerating, pruning, trimming and applying chemicals to plans according to directions.  Uses a variety of hand and powered garden tools such as seeders, spreaders, edgers, pruning shears, mowers and sprayers.

Duties:   As directed, secures linen, glassware and silverware.  Readies groups of tables for food and beverages, making sure that dishes, glasses and silverware meet cleanliness standards, and that linens are spotless and condiment containers are filled.  Following specific instructions and rigid time schedules, secures food from kitchen, and carries beverages from bar and serves customers.  Refills food and beverage containers and performs emergency cleanup services.  Answers simple questions concerning menu items and food served.  Cleans and prepares tables for further use.  Performs other related cleaning duties including the preparation area, kitchen and dining room.  May perform dishwashing and other tasks.
Qualification Requirements:  No previous experience or training is required.  Must be able to follow simple oral instructions and prepare checks for patrons.  Must be physically able to stand, stoop, bend and walk for long periods of time.  Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds.    Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public

Must meet the appropriate age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.  Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate prior to in-processing.  Position requires satisfactory National Agency Check w/Inquiries (NACI) as a condition of employment

POSITION:  Waiter , NA-7420-02, Flexible, $7.70 ph
Duties:  Asks patrons what beverages are desired, and describes or suggests cocktails, highballs, wines, or other beverages on request.  Gives orders to bartender.  Adds fruit or decorations as required.  Receives and places beverages on a small tray and serves patrons.  Observes when patrons leave and cleans table.  Returns used glassware to bar.  Maintains clean work area.  Collects payment from patrons when drinks are served.  May dispense bottled beverages, confections, and tobacco, or serve any other item on request of the patron.
Qualification Requirements:  No previous experience or training is required.  Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, prepare checks for patrons, make simple mathematical computations, and be able to follow cash handling procedures.  Must be physically able to stand, stoop, bend and walk for long periods of time.  Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds.  Must meet the appropriate age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
