Our office services the NAF positions at Langley AFB.  Most of these positions are within the
1st Services Squadron.

Please follow the instructions below in order to apply:

• The NAF Application Package consists of two forms – the OF 612, Optional Application for Federal Employment, and the OF 306, Declaration for Federal Employment.  You must complete, sign, date, and submit both forms in order for your package to be complete and considered.

•  A separate package must be submitted for each position you wish to apply for unless you are applying under the Military Spouse Preference program (see below for information on this program).   

• Applications are kept on file for 90 days and it is your responsibility to update your application prior to the end of the 90 days.  If, at any time during the 90 days, you decline a position that you applied for, your application is deemed inactive and will be removed from the Applicant Supply File.

• Prior/Retired Military – You MUST include a copy of your Member-4 DD 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.

• Military Spouse Preference –Please complete the Military Spouse Preference Worksheet and attach the appropriate documentation as stated on the worksheet.  Qualified Military Spouse Preference applicants may submit one package and a list of positions you wish to apply for.

• Child Development Center and/or Youth Activities positions – Please complete the Youth Supplement Application Package and submit with your NAF Application Package

• To submit your NAF Application Package to the Human Resource Office, you may:

• Fax your completed package(s) to 757-764-2875

• Return your application in person by visiting us at 52 Willow Street (Building 52), 2nd Floor between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  (We are located across the street from the Auto Hobby Shop and beside the Eagle Room Dining Facility, in the same complex as the Career Development Center.)

• For security reasons, the Human Resource Program Office will not sponsor you onto Langley AFB until you have been selected for a position.

• If you are selected for a NAF position, the following WILL apply:

• All NAF positions require Direct Deposit.

• All NAF positions require satisfactory completion of the appropriate security/background investigation(s) as a condition of continued employment.
